Inclusivity and the opportunity for everyone and anyone to play rugby is important to Charleville & District RFC. Your club really wants to give girls the best chance to keep playing through the season, every season.
Our girls tell us that the biggest barrier to them sticking with the game is when they have to train with the boys when they start get to around 11 years of age and upwards. It is also difficult to get them to girls blitz match days without responsible adults to take them.
The answer is simple: To help them to keep playing we need women coaches!
If you are reading this and think you can help, or know someone else that can muck in with you too, PLEASE get in touch with our Women's Rugby Coordinator, Leanne Bridgeman (leannebridgeman07@live.com) or a member of The Committee. No previous experience is necessary, just a love of the game and most importantly, belief that the girls deserve every chance to keep playing and enjoying rugby too.
Your Club will support you with the resources you need to help your players.
Its not all a one way street either. Seeing the enjoyment of your players in training, playing matches and forging bonds and friendships will give you a sense of fulfillment that is a rich reward.
So come on down to the club on Sunday 15th at 1000hrs to see what it is all about!
